THE SILENCE BEFORE THE SHOT
Before the explosion phase, face the problem

2010 - present
2010 - present
The poster of the campaign has focused on the image of a man grabbing a belt on his right hand. This situation would remind the audience of the explosion phase on a toxic relationship where seems to be gender violence.
The belt wants to symbolize the weapon that physically and mentally hurts the victim every time it’s brought out. On the right corner of the poster, we provide all the information needed to contact us in case you are involved or you know any case of gender violence
As the video goes on we can see three well-differentiated short scenes:
The first one shows the victim opening the door and right away the aggressor slams it and gives to her a jacket to put on. This scene wants to show the control, intimidation, and aggressiveness of the aggressor.
Going on with the add, in the second scene of three, she leaves the room and the aggressor owns her phone and gives an answer to her messages. This represents the isolation and another time the control of the aggressor.
The final shot of the video is the shadow of the hand of the aggressor that seems to be about to hit the victim, right there is when the video pauses and we make a reminder of the logo of the campaign
Rain On Me- Ashanti (Lyrics)Artist Name

Rain on me it’s a song by the singer Ashanti, who wrote this song with the purpose of making aware people that gender violence stills being a huge problem in our society. It came out in 2003 and it had enormous recognition by the audience.
We have chosen this song because it has a well-known relation to our campaign goal. On the video appears a dark colour scale and muted tones, which symbolizes the isolation, hopelessness, desperation…that also are present in our project.
As far as the lyrics, Ashanti seems to be talking and praying to the Lord of the sky, asking for help as when you are the victim of a gender violence relationship. The song evokes a mood of energy and internal rage released that vents all those compressed feelings. The message is directed towards the victims, encouraging them to gather strength to overcome an abusive relationship.
